Luke Parkitny

Luke Parkitny is the Research Operations Lead in the Center for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases. He works closely with faculty investigators to coordinate large multidisciplinary research programs focused on Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. His doctoral work focused on immunological biomarkers of chronic pain development and has a background spanning clinical and translational neuroscience. His research has included clinical trials as well as laboratory studies using both animal and human models to investigate the biological mechanisms underlying pain and neurological disorders. He now focuses on supporting large collaborative initiatives that integrate clinical, genomic, biomarker, and neuropathology research to advance precision medicine approaches to neurodegenerative disease.
