Ruth Barros De Paula is a Ph.D. candidate in Quantitative and Computational Biosciences at Baylor College of Medicine. Her research focuses on integrative multi-omics analyses to understand the metabolic and genetic mechanisms underlying Parkinson's Disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. She works with large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, metabolomic, and proteomic datasets to identify molecular pathways involved in disease risk and progression, with a particular interest in lipid metabolism and its role in neurodegeneration.
