Timothy Wu is a MD/PhD student at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP). He received his B.Sc. in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013. Tim matriculated at BCM in 2016 and joined the Shulman lab in May of 2019. His research interests include population and functional genomics of brain disorders and neuroscience. Tim currently studies the genetic underpinnings and mechanisms of Alzheimer's dementia by leveraging bioinformatic techniques and Drosophila disease model systems. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, photography, hiking in the mountains, and going to the gym occasionally.
