Heidi Martini-Stoica is a graduate student in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Zheng, working jointly with the Laboratory for Integrative Functional Genomics. She is enrolled in the Medical Sciences Training Program (MD-PhD) and Translational Biology and Molecular Medicine Graduate Program at Baylor College of Medicine. Heidi completed her B.S. at Rice University (Houston), with an emphasis in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. She is currently investigating the role of lysosomal biology in neurodegenerative disease susceptibility and pathogenesis, integrating mouse model studies and human genetic approaches.
